Heath’s first professional engagement was at age 13 in Barron Entertainment’s television series Ship to Shore. He graduated from Curtin University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, performing in over a dozen productions for the Hayman Theatre Company. After graduating he toured schools with DAMAGE Theatre’s The Brick and the Rose performed in The Taming of the Shrew and Ubu Roi for Shakespearience, Romeo and Juliet for Deckchair Theatre, X-Stacy for Black Swan (National tour) and Sex Drugs and Self Control for Cut-Snake Comedy.
Heath then completed a year of the acting course at WAAPA. Heath has studied circus, martial arts and stage combat here and abroad and received accreditation from both the British Academy of Dramatic Combat and the Society of Australian Fight Directors. He has been known to take to the stage as a stand-up comedy and spoken word performer. His work in these areas include being a state finalist in the RAW Comedy Competition and performing his original poetry on stage as part of the Melbourne Writer’s Festival.
Now located in Melbourne, Heath has an ongoing engagement with the National Trust of Victoria regularly performing in Such a Life: The Ned Kelly Story and the Hangman's Night Tour at the Old Melbourne Gaol Crime and Justice Experience. Theatre work includesThe Beard of Michael Rogers, Last Drinks, Mystery Flight, Thieving Boy, A Dream Play, Violent Delights (Sydney Fringe Festival) and several seasons of the children's show Go Away Mr Worrythoughts. Heath has also had roles in the short films 1999, I Am Through With You Sue, Fortune Cookie, and Battlefield. |
