Heath Miller

Heath has a BA in English from Curtin University. He graduated from the Directing course at WAAPA where he acted as assistant director on Bobbin’ Up (dir. Rhys McConnochie) The Tempest (dir. Kate Cherry) and Batboy (dir. Jason Langley) as well as directing The Gun in HistoryTitus Andronicus and co-directing The Caucasian Chalk Circle. While studying he also directed Ionesco’s Macbett for John Curtin College of the Arts, was a directing attachment on MTC’s King Lear (dir. Simon Phillips) and wrote and directed the short film Frosting. Since making the move from Perth, Heath has directed Nazanin for Short and Sweet 06Thrilling Hostage Melodrama At High Speeds With Pineapple for Short and Sweet 07 (Winner – Best Comedy) and Kanat and the Red Army (Runner Up - Best Director & Special Mention - Best Production) for Short and Sweet 08 and Donald for Short and Sweet '10 as well as writing and directing the short film Contact Appointment.
